I have always been drawn to be a person of service. This paired well as an experiential learner because it was natural for me to step into leadership roles in sports, theater, student body and community opportunities.
Though there was not a lot of diversity where I grew up, I had a fervent interest to learn about other cultures. I loved partaking in Pow-Wows from the the small tribes near where I lived. I was also blessed to have had the opportunity to travel all over the USA with my family. The cumulative effect of these childhood experiences, carried over into in my collegiate and post-grad years when I developed programs for underserved communities and created documentary film to share my overseas programs. I supplemented my programs and enjoyed my Habitat for Humanity stints in the US and overseas. My next chapter was to serve in Belize through the Peace Corps. I remained in Belize creating programs and products where I saw opportunity and need.
Thus, it was a natural progression to create opportunities mostly in the tourism industry. I loved drawing out the natural craftsmanship of Belizeans and teaching them how to market themselves. Many had the infrastructure to support very successful Airbnb or VRBO’s at their homes. So when I moved back to the USA in 2016, it was no surprise an offer to sell travel through AAA fell into my lap. Within 3 months, following the intense training, I hit the ground running. My focus on excellent service, genuine love for immersive travel had me a top agent immediately – I won every trip I qualified for my production. My transparent, gregarious disposition led to high retention – a primary ingredient to my great success. I know sometimes the best travel fit for a party won’t bring me the top financial gain. A lifetime of service has shown me good deeds will carry me through and reward me. My focus is to bring joy to people’s travel adventure and creating life-long memories. Though the pandemic hit us all hard and travel was immensely challenging, my love to service and travel remain. So here I am starting from a grass roots position once again! Folks! I am ready to start this chapter with you!
